A clearer way to support long-term investment outcomes

Same purpose. Broader perspective.
Better outcomes.

Stronger alignment

Bringing together pension funds, insurers, advisers, managers and policymakers in one purposeful platform.

Clearer structure

Dedicated Communities sit side by side - pensions, insurers and eventually others - while shared themes connect the work.

More ways to participate

Learning, research, events and policy engagement designed to support action across the investment chain.

One organisation. Clear Communities.

Investors for Purpose builds on the success of Pensions for Purpose, reflecting the reality that long-term value is shaped across the investment system, not by pension funds acting alone. Pensions remain at the heart of our work. What’s new is the way we connect the ecosystem around them.

Your questions answered

Why the change from Pensions for Purpose to Investors for Purpose?
Our work now spans the entire investment ecosystem – pension funds, insurers, advisers, asset managers, foundations, corporates and policymakers. The new name reflects the system-wide perspective required to deliver long-term value.
Are you moving away from pensions?

No – pensions remains at the heart of our mission. Pensions for Purpose will continue as a fully dedicated Community within unchanged services.

What changes for me as a member?

Very little in your day-to-day experience. However, you will gain a more coherent investor ecosystem, more peers with more points of view and clearer insights.

Why are you broadening your scope now?

Our recent research shows that sustainability and impact outcomes are shaped by the wider investment ecosystem. Investors for Purpose reflects that reality and builds on what we’ve already learned through our work.

Will pensions content or events be diluted?

Not at all. Pensions content will remain core, with even stronger insights coming from the connected Ecosystem.

Why broaden the brand if pensions are still central?

Because the system around pension funds determines long-term outcomes. Aligning advisers, managers and policymakers strengthens the conditions pension funds operate within.

What does this change mean for non-pension members?

You will have a clearer home within our organisation, with pathways tailored to your regulatory and investment realities.

Will there be dedicated Communities?

Yes – starting with Pensions for Purpose and Insurers for Purpose, with more to follow.
